A Beacon Project:
 

A 'New, Sustainable Way of Life':

The Sunrise Project will be a beacon for a new, sustainable way of life. The success of the Project will play a huge part in this but we will spread the Project's message by a variety of techniques. When the Project is based on its own site, sponsorship deals will be used to develop an economic hub in our community. This will employ large numbers of our own members, and will be an opportunity for us to showcase the wide range of sustainable products currently available. In this way, the companies involved will benefit from their proximity to one another, since the range of products available will attract a large market. 		Sunrise
 

Supporting the Community:

A wide variety of visitor facilities will be created on the site, boosting the area's economy by providing a year round tourist venue as well as spreading the message of the project to a wider community. Tourism and hospitality facilities will also employ a significant number of Project members, thus further increasing the potential capacity of the community.

Education and Research Opportunities:

The Project will also act as an important education and research centre for all issues related to sustainability. Yurts have been chosen as the preferred type of structure at this stage, but the Project will aim eventually to showcase a wide variety of different sustainable structures and technologies, all used in and adapted to a real working environment. This will provide an excellent opportunity for research. The Sunrise Project will be able to accept school groups and a programme will be produced, linked to the National Curriculum, to provide a learning opportunity for students of science and technology at all key stages.
